Subject file of the Board of Education for Librarianship and its predecessor the Temporary Library Training Board containing correspondence, circular letters, reports, studies and statements concerning accrediting, library education in the states, degrees, conferences, courses, library training for Negroes, Princeton Conference on Library Education (1948), standards, recruiting and publicity and policies, functions and activities of the Board of Education for Librarianship. Correspondents include Anita M. Hostetter, Harold Lancour, Sarah C. Bogle and James I. Wyer. In 1956, the Library Education Division absorbed the Board of Education for Librarianship and its name changed to the Committee of Accreditation.
